Director Descriptions

The MISSION of the Aspen Board of REALTORS® is to serve its members by developing, providing and promoting programs and services to enhance members' freedom and ability to conduct their business successfully with ethical integrity and professional competency; to promote, through collective action, the extension and preservation of the right to own, use and transfer real property; and to increase the public's awareness of and confidence in the REALTORS®' professionalism, skills and knowledge.

Board of Directors/Executive Committee:  To conduct the affairs of the Board in accordance with the policies and instructions of the board of Directors and to recommend to the Board of Directors new policies, changes in policy, or rescission of existing policies of the Board.

President:  Ryan Anslyn

• Presides at all meetings of the association, including the board of directors and executive committee
• Sets the agenda for Board of Directors and Executive Committee meetings
• Keeps the membership and the board of directors informed on the conditions and operations of the association and the real estate industry
• Serves as spokesperson for the association
• Directs the board of directors in formulating policies and programs that will further the goals and objectives of the association
• Monitors expenditures to assure operation within the annual budget
• Makes Board decisions with the assistance of the Board of Directors
• Responsible for all Board correspondence
• Appoints committee chairpersons
• Serves on the Executive Committee
• Serves as chairperson of Nominating and Staff Review Committees.
• Serves as an ex-officio member of all committees
• Coordinates and assists in the preparation of the newsletter with the Executive Vice President
• Plans, organizes, and installs officers and directors at the Inaugural
• Organizes the Board of Directors' retreat at the beginning of the term
• Reviews annually the organization structure, strategic plan, goals and policies of the Board with Executive Vice President and Board of Directors
• Attends all Board functions
• Attends all CAR governance meetings
• Attends NAR Convention and Midyear Meeting

President-Elect:  Cally Shadowshot

• Training ground for President's position; fills in for President as needed
• Serves as an ex-officio member of all committees with the President
• Serves as chairperson of the Inaugural Committee and the Brokers Forum
• Serves as CAR Director for a one-year term
• Serves on the Executive Committee, Inaugural, Nominating, Finance, and Staff Review Committees
• Plans and organizes the Annual Retreat
• Attends Board functions
• Attends all CAR governance meetings

Vice President:  Scott Bayens

• Plans and organizes monthly membership luncheons for the year 
• Coordinates with Public Relations Committee and Newsletter Editor for press      
• Coordinates membership meeting sponsors
• Serves on the Executive, Finance, and Staff Review Committees
• Serves as co-chair on Membership Committee
• Plans, organizes, and promotes annual Community Service Days
• Attends all Board functions

Secretary:  Cindy Morse

• Serves as chairperson of the Membership Committee
• Serves as chairperson of the Public Relations Committee
• Serves on the Executive Committee
• Takes Board minutes in absence of staff
• Attends all Board functions

Treasurer:  Nancy DiBiaggio 

• Serves as chairperson of the Finance Committee 
• Prepares the annual budget and reviews the quarterly financials with Executive Vice President, Bookkeeper,  and Accountant
• Proposes policies affecting the financial condition of the Board
• Serves on the Executive, Finance, and Staff Review Committees
• Attends all Board functions

Director A:  Jonathan Boxer   

• Acts as a liaison between the committee chairpersons, staff, and the Board of

Directors for the following committees/services:  CARHOF, Community Service Days, MAA, Orientation, Realtors for Wilderness, and Scholarship

• Assists and attends committee meetings to communicate and report their progress and effectiveness to Board of Directors
• Serves on the Executive Committee
• Attends all Board functions

Director B:  Bennett Bramson

• Acts as a liaison between the committee chairpersons, staff, and the Board of Directors for the following committees/services:  Education, Scholarship Golf, Home Tours, and Website
• Assists and attends committee meetings to communicate and report their progress and effectiveness to Board of Directors
• Serves on the Executive Committee
• Attends all Board functions

Past President:  Brian Leasure  

• Serves on Executive, Inaugural, Nominating, Finance, and Staff Review Committees
• Plans and organizes annual Past President’s Forum
• Assists the President when necessary
• Attends all Board functions

Government Affairs and PSF:  Mark Ronay  

• Serves as chairperson of the Government Affairs Committee
• Serves on Executive Committee
• Informs and reports on key legislative and regulatory issues through The Observer
• Monitors and advises members of issues facing the real estate industry
• Attends all Board functions

MLS Director:  Phil Weir

• Serves on AGSMLS Board of Directors
• Acts as Liaison between AGSMLS and the ABR
• Reports AGSMLS policies and programs to Board of Directors
• Monitors and advises members compliance with the MLS rules and regulations
• Attends all Board functions

Appointed Past President:  Evan Boenning 

• Serves on Executive, Inaugural, Nominating, Finance and Staff Review Committees
• Assists the President when necessary
• Attends all Board functions
